The Canada Recreation Center – known as ‘Makak’ (Hebrew Acronym), is located in the Canada Dorms.
The three-level structure offers a variety of recreational facilities and activity rooms:
- Informal lounge areas
- Meeting halls, multipurpose rooms
- Reception desk: 04-8294538 (during hours of operation only)
- Refurbished computer farm (including scanning equipment) – open 24/7*
• Adjoining entrance to the Music Center with practice spaces (equipped with a large selection of musical instruments) and digital recording studio
- Fitness center
*To enter the computer farm after regular hours, you will need to swipe your student card at the reception desk.

The Center is closed on Fridays and Saturdays, and high holidays.
The Music Center includes two primary facilities:
- Practice spaces
- Digital recording studio
In the practice spaces you will have free use of high quality musical instruments including: electronic drum sets, bongos, keyboards, electric guitars, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, classical guitar and 12-string guitar, as well as violin, flutes, goblet drums (‘darbuka’ in Hebrew), and harmonicas.
In the digital recording studio you may use the equipment free of charge, including: new synthesizer and advanced computer systems and digital editing systems for recording and editing.
Bands are welcome to practice for the ‘Evening Bands’ show organized each semester with prior registration
